Synopsis
The Patronas' Kitchen tells the story of Las Patronas, women in La Patrona, Veracruz, who began feeding migrants on freight trains 23 years ago. It started when Doña Leo’s daughters gave food to a hungry traveler, inspired by her words: "When people are hungry, you have to give." Since then, they’ve cooked daily for migrants. Their kitchen has become a political space, addressing rural poverty, human rights, society's indifference to migrants, and women's rights.
